AUCCI Named Liason for the First Ukrainian National Expo in USA
UKRDZI (www.ukrdzi.com/en) the organizer of the First Ukrainian National Expo in USA has named AUCCI the US liason for the expo to be held in December, 2006. Over 60 Ukrainian leading companies will be exhibiting and a large diplomatic and private sector delegation will be holding panel discussions on economy, politics, infrastructure, and other.

15th Year Ukraine Independence Anniversary
AUCCI joined Independence Day celebrations at the reception hosted by the Consulate General of Ukraine at the Ukrainian Cultural Center on August 29. Representatives of the consular corps, city government and civic organizations, as well as guests from the community came together to mark the commemorations at this event

After Hours Networking at the Mercantile Exchange
Per request of a senior Mercantile Exchange executive AUCCI met with a group of traders and investment bankers to discuss current investment opportunities and general investment environment in Ukraine. The private meeting took place in the Mercantile Exchange dining facility after trading hours.

Meeting With Georgian Trade Representatives
AUCCI met with trade mission representatives from Georgia and discussed potential for opening an AUCCI office in Tbilisi, Georgia as well as current positive economic and political atmosphere between Ukraine and Georgia

AUCCI website www.aucci.org has been under development of course in no other than Kiev, Ukraine by two very talented web developers Oleh Levytskyy and Oleg Gorohovsky for the past 4 months and we celebrate the official beta version launch. First Business Meeting with the Consulate General of Ukraine in Chicago
The founding Board of Directors of AUCCI has scheduled and held a round table introductory meeting with Mr. Vasyl Korzachenko, Consulate General of Ukraine and Mr. Vlad Dovhopiat, Representative of Ukrainian Trade Mission in Chicago. The meeting took place at the Ukrainian General Consulate in Chicago. The topics of discussion were welcoming notes from both sides, background overviews of all at the table, and a presentation by AUCCI staff of its business plan. The timing of this meeting was perfect as this new to Chicago consular team was looking to engage US partners to assist them in achieving their diplomatic and economic mission goals. AUCCI was assured that its ideas and the business plan will be shared and discussed with the ministry of Economy in Ukraine and the Ukrainian Embassy in DC.

American-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (AUCCI) files Articles of Incorpration
American Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce & Industry files Articles of Incorporation in the state of Illinois. Mr. Igor Zhizhin, Mr. Michael Pechony, and Ms. Svitlana Mefford are the founding board of directors of this organization with the major focus on increasing trade and commerce between the United States and the Ukraine. All three of the directors are Ukrainian born and are currently living in Chicago, IL USA. It was very surprising that there was not a single operational chamber of commerce or similar organization actively strengthening the economic ties between the two countries. It was then that the three have unanimously voted to create the American Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, known as AUCCI in official circles and amongst friends. Articles of Incorporation as a Not-For-Profit entity were filed with the Secretary of State of Illinois on December 27,2005.
